Why did you choose this facility?
Pirateman: Actually I choose it because it is reletively close. When you need help you need to get under medical care asap.The medical care and monitoring was first class.

Tell us about the experience - was it positive or negative?
Pirateman: Positive. The theripist really care about what they do. Its not a fancy place, but then rehabs not a vacation. It is six weeks to spend on you. No outside distractions.

Do you feel the program was successful?
Pirateman: I feel it was successful for me. I had to be in the right frame of mind however. By that I mean I made a commitment to work as hard as I could and to be totally honest both with myself and my group. Also the foundation they gave me in the 12 step process was essential.

What advice would you give somebody considering going to this facility?
Pirateman: I would say commit to your sobriety. Do the work. Relish the time spent working on yourself. Life can get out of control easily for the addict. So listen to what people are saying to you during your group work. Its good feedback from folks in the same leaky boat as you.
