Why did you choose this facility?
Possum: Location
Gunthar: Employee Assistance Program

Tell us about the experience - was it positive or negative?
Possum: Mostly positive. No common restrooms so you have to use the one in your room (shared by 4 people). The common/meeting area has 2 TVs and free decaf coffee and ice water and vending machines. The food was generally good.
Gunthar: The treatment available at ADCARE was spiritually/religiously based 12-step treatment. It involves turning your life and will over to God.

Do you feel the program was successful?
Possum: Yes, I was detoxed and was taken good care of medically.
Gunthar: No. I've been to ADCARE 3 times and it never worked for me.

What advice would you give somebody considering going to this facility?
Possum: Bring a book or magazines if you want to avoid the crowd and TV noise of the common area.
Gunthar: Avoid 12-step religious indoctrination centers.
