Why did you choose this facility?
Lee: specialized in women w/ addictions & price & quality
Lucky: I chose millwood because I was familiar with the facility and it was close to home. I stayed there for about ten days in detox and the doctor got me into Nexxus for their inpationt program.

Tell us about the experience - was it positive or negative?
Lee: excellent. the entire experience and I made the decision to attend.
Lucky: Millwood was strictly detox and I was heavily sedated for most of my stay, but the psychiatrist who treated me was very compassionate and helpful. My experience at Nexxus was what I would think boot camp would be like. tough and hard.

Do you feel the program was successful?
Lee: yes as i am still clean
Lucky: No, but I have learned since that I wasn't really ready to quit at that time. Addict's have to "hit bottom" before they become willing to get help. So no matter which treatment facility they choose it's really up to the individual whether or not they will stay clean and sober once they have completed the program.

What advice would you give somebody considering going to this facility?
Lee: be serious if you arent leave the bed for someone who is
Lucky: Be prepared to be tested physically,mentally and spiritually. It's not a "resort" type treatment center. They don't baby you or coddle you. They routinely told us that if we did'nt want to do what was expected of us that there was someone waiting to take our place.
