Tell us about the experience - was it positive or negative?
Rec: It's a jail! Quite a boring place to be! However, I found the bathroom to be dirty, I never noticed any bleech being used on the shower floor to kill germs. The wall urinals smelled and were dirty. Both the dorms and day need a good proffessional cleaning. Oh, the food was not fit for my pets. Having just spent four days there the interior temp. was awful.
Kathy: NEGATIVE -IT'S JAIL!Well when he was able to call me everyday he would tell me of the hell he experienced everyday, the ridiculous rules they had, the disgusting food and TERRIBLE STAFF!!! He never once has had a simple question answered, has been written up for the most ridiculous things and does not recieve the meds he should. As of today, he has had his visitation privillages revoked due to violating an order? HE CHANGED HIS SHIRT AT THE WRONG TIME !!! WTF IS THAT? REALLY?SERIOUSLY? IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? IF YOU'RE IN THE PIMA COUNTY ANYTHING!DAMN STRAIGHT!WHATEVER THEY WANT IS POSSIBLE.VERY RARELY IS HUMAN COMPASION OR RESPECT AS A PERSON ENCOUNTERED FROM THE STAFF. I experienced that today after attempting to visit him. Mind you I called two hours before going to visit to reschedule my visit for. I swear this staff must get some kind of commission for every family memeber of the inmates the hurt or disappoint.Or maybe it how ever many they come across everyday and maintain not getting the crap beaten outta them!After getting to jail, filling out paper work getting to the monitor sitting down n about 2 mins , my family and I were called back to the counter to be told and I quote, "inmates visitations revoked oh well sorry" as he walked away with a smart ass attitude and a smirk. When my fiances parents asked why this had happened his response was, "violating one of our orders" and again walked away as if we were sh** and bothering him.My fiance hasn't called me in 4 days. I have NO idea how he is or where or why he is where he is. The pima county government is one in their own per say. They make the rules and make them as difficult NOT to violate as breathing air is absolutely neccesary to live.

Do you feel the program was successful?
Rec: successful in what way? will I repeat my offense again? No way....Your jail sucks. And the waiting game just to get booked in was joke. If this place was company trying to make money, they would be out of work. Somehow in spite of all the standing around and joking the employees manage to make it work. The sad thing is they are the real imates. What idoit would choose to work in such an environment?
Kathy: HELL NO! he hasnt even made it through 3 1/2 weeks n he's already in the hole? Again, FOR CHANGING HIS SHIRT AT THE WRONG TIME! he has a dependancy problem not a fashion issue! he needs some kind of "rehabilitation" in this time and already they have restricted ALL outside contact including beginning long term rehabilitation while there. I say BOOOOOOOO 4 PIMA COUNTY JAIL!

What advice would you give somebody considering going to this facility?
Rec: Make sure that if you're on meds. they are provided on time, mine were NOT! Be sure to ask questions, it's your right to know. As far as getting out on time, no one is busting there ass to be sure that your are out the door at 8am when your paperwork say so. I've never seen so many employees doing so little so slowly.
Kathy: DONT DO IT!!!! STAY OUTTA TROUBLE DONT DO DRUGS BE A SAINT CUZ U GET IN PIMA COUNTIES GRIPS UR SCREWED!!!ITS NOT LIKE THERES A CHOICE IN FACILLITIES HERE ITS THE MISSION OR MAIN THE BOTH EQUAL OUT> AND NOT THAT IVE HEARD MY OWN THOUGHTS ON THE ISSUE IM GOING TO WRITE THE HEAD OF PIMA COUNTY DIRECTLY AND POSSIBLY MAKE A PUBLIC COMPLAINT ABOUT THEIR FACILLITIES BUT MOST OF ALL THEIR LOVELY STAFF!!
