Interviews from Dean, Just Me, Scott
Why did you choose this facility?
Dean: I found it on the internet. My wife asked me to leave the house and the next day i asked if i could use the computer for 1 hour. I did a search for detox/rehab.
Just Me: Found it on the internet
ScottyC: It was not too far from home and they took my insurance.

Tell us about the experience - was it positive or negative?
Dean: VERY POSITIVE. I went to a place in north Jersey a few years ago. they offered no after care at all. Princeton house was great. The food was great,The people there were great. One of the counselors would buy razors for us. The ones they had were 1 blade,he bought us 4 blade razors. He would give us a new one,We would shave and then give him the razor.
Just Me: VERY POSITIVE. Good people except for 1 of the phone interviewers. After a year and a half i started taking painkillers again. I was hospitalized for stomach pain and was back on pain meds for a brief time.
ScottyC: While I was there it was great. Felt fine after day 4.

Do you feel the program was successful?
Dean: YES. My new birthday is September 26. I will be 1 year clean.
Just Me: YES. It was a VERY positive experience, they would not let you leave unless you had an after care program and the food is good. I see a doctor who is trained in addiction medicine about every 30 days. It costs $150.00 a month and my insurance pays for the meds (suboxon) They cost over $500.00 a month without a prescription.
ScottyC: No. When you are released, you are sent into the world with no meds. 2 days out I was back on. I called and BEGGED the Dr. to give me something but he refused so it was either hang myself or call my "guy". 3 months later I had a long talk with myself and locked myself in my room for 3 days and found a Suboxone Dr. Been clean for almost 3 yrs.

What advice would you give somebody considering going to this facility?
Dean: GO. They really care about you.You can't leave until you have a verified after care with a Dr. trained in addiction medicine
Just Me: There really is life after addiction. It is not a smooth road, there are many bumbs and the road is long. Those of us in recovery will ALWAYS be addicted. Please pray for us in recovery and those who are still looking for the road.
ScottyC: HAVE A PLAN FOR DAY ONE OF YOUR RELEASE. The meds they give you keep you calm while youre there but when you get out, the withdraw follows. I had a very bad pill problem. I couldnt imagine life without them. Now, I couldnt imagine life with them. I promise, it gets better and you can be happy.
